20+ year career in Finance and Accounting in the Financial Services, Commercial Real Estate and Private Equity Fund Management sectors.
Over the previous 14 years, my career has basically been with one organization and through mergers and acquisitions my employer entity and names have changed as well as my position within each entity.

Unfortunately, due to the credit crisis the capital sources dried up and I was in charge of closing the Denver office.

During this time I managed construction loans, new fund creation and was the liaison to 35 property management cos. I managed a staff of 11.
From 1995 to 1997 I was a Controller of ARES (asset and property management), the predecessor to MONY Realty Capital. In 1997 ARES was merged with MONY Realty Capital and I was in-charge of the transition of the management of 125 properties, nationwide, to 35 property management companies. This move freed up our resources to begin loan originations and fund creation.
From 1985 - 1995, I was the Controller at Watson Land Company (est in 1912), a mid size industrial real estate in Los Angeles. During this time we completed a conversion to a private REIT. This was a complex transaction including obtaining a private letter ruling from IRS and an earnings and profits analysis going back to 1912.
From 1979 to 1985 I was in public accounting with Broman & Greig, a well respected local CPA firm in LA. The principals were ex C&L and my training and experience was invaluable.
