Mr. Patel is a Principal and Co-Founder of IRA Realty Capital (IRA). He is the Managing Partner of IRA Realty Capital's NNN Fund, and is responsible for sourcing equity, debt, and the acquisitions of Net Leased Properties for the fund. Over the past 7 years, Samir has been active in retail real estate development and has established great relationships with some of the country's leading retailers. His companies have acquired and are developing more than $100 million of retail properties. Samir has individually raised more than $30 million of equity for his projects and has been responsible for the acquisition, entitlement, construction, leasing, and disposition of multiple developments throughout California.
Prior to his ventures in real estate, Samir worked as an investment banking financial analyst at HSBC's Debt Capital Markets Group in London and New York. He also worked at the Financial Restructuring Group for Houlihan Lokey Howard and Zukin in Chicago. Samir has worked on numerous restructurings, distressed mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, private placements, and valuations for corporations in and out of bankruptcy. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and has a Masters in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Samir is actively involved in numerous real estate originations including ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers).
