A Bit About Me
I have been on both sides of the financial fence: as an investor acquiring financially distressed (and in some cases physically distressed too) real estate as well as having to face loan covenants during the last real estate crises when the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) took over many of the nation’s failed Savings & Loan Institutions. As a result, I am uniquely situated to understand the note holder and borrower’s positions. In the absence of equity in my rental properties due to falling housing markets stimulated by the 1986 tax reform act, I was one of few who purchased their own debt and sold the real estate for a gain.
