This was a fun interview because Simon has a great sense of humor and I kept screwing up the intro. We got through it and Simon gives us some great information on ESRI and GIS.

Simon Thompson is responsible for global marketing strategies for Esri’s commercial sector. He is a keynote speaker, author, and seminar leader who has lived and worked on 5 continents.
Responsible for the commercial sector of Industry Solutions, including insurance, real estate, banking, retail, T&E, manufacturing, automotive and life sciences. Our primary focus is delivery geo-extended business solutions to commercial organizations which use geographic information systems (GIS) technology to enhance other enterprise systems.
Twenty years' experience in business applications of GIS and IT including the commercial sector, telecoms, oil and gas, Government and defense. The solutions we implement are based on service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services and a collaborative server platform. Working to expand the adoption of GIS by executives and business professionals.

4. Click on "Save Changes."
