One year ago my girlfriend and I were trying to update our kitchen on a budget as well, we were looking all over the internet for solutions because we didn't have a lot of money to spend. What we did was to repaint our existing cabinets instead of buying new ones and that save us a lot of money. Something that worked for us, and I think it can refresh the look of a kitchen is to add plants, it can make your space look more greener and beautiful. You can add a backsplash as well, because it can instatly transform the look of your kitchen. These are some of the things we did, and it did wonders for our space, hope it works for you as well
