Hard Money.....Real Money?

Just curious to know who has actually closed (or maybe brokered the closing of) a residential or commercial deal through a hard money lender within the last 6-12 months?

 

It seems as if the desire for hard money funding has respawned recently with a lot of new "brokers" and "direct lenders" posting advertisements.  Who is actually delivering on these promises though?
