CREPIG -
1. Spam: On this Site, Spam is defined as anything unsolicited.
There is no politically correct way to discuss or address Spam. Spamming is just wrong; it is potentially dangerous; it lessens the other users’ experience and thus diminishes the value of the Site. Spam will not be tolerated. Spam and the Spammer will be removed from the Site. This Site provides areas (as further described below), in which to converse, communicate, connect and engage, without resorting to unsolicited contact. Help us keep the Site, your site, your neighborhood, safe. Please report any suspected incidents of Spam directly to us at CREPIG@gmail.com.
2. Inappropriate Content
CREPIG is primarily a
business networking site. As such, the majority of content on this
Site will be business oriented and more specifically the commercial
real estate business. We recognize that intelligent people have
broader interests than just a single industry, and other interests
besides business. To that end, we provide areas for discourse of
all sorts, and we don’t want to monitor each and every post,
however, there is content that we reserve the right to delete, in
our sole discretion, if we deem it to be inappropriate, in poor
taste, displaying poor judgment, confrontational, or otherwise
unacceptable for this Site. (ie: Spam, inappropriate pictures,
inappropriate language, MLM (Multi-
3. Appropriate Content
We welcome any and all appropriate discussions. We don’t want to stifle creativity, or dissuade conversation, or prevent you from ranting and raving within the confines of good taste. We do however insist that you adhere to the following guidelines:
• Stay on topic.
• Don’t get confrontational.
• Watch your language.
• Watch your tone of voice. Don’t use caps.
• Be respectful.
• Be tolerant.
• Be relevant.
• Be brief and to the point.
• Be complete.
• Be colorful but please, no cartoons, dancing GIF’s, or glitter.
• Adhere to copyright laws
4. Cross Posting
Cross posting is concurrently posting the same message in several categories or areas of the site. It would be overstated to label such an attempt at getting exposure, as being offensive, but it is redundant, wastes space, can be a bit irritating, and simply is not allowed. We are happy to discuss the merits of this decision, however as the Site grows and adapts, we will provide as many outlets as we can for you to get your information published.
5. External Links
We don’t encourage external links, but we don’t prohibit them either. We suggest that you keep as much content as possible within the Site, simply because the statistics show that most people will not click over to another site to continue reading, so you'll just lose their attention. If an external link goes to a site that we consider inappropriate, the link, post, and you will be deleted from the site.
6. Comment Wall
If ever there were an enticing opportunity for Spamming it's the Comment Wall. Don’t do it! The Comment Wall is a part of another Member’s My Page, which is their personal space. Don’t invade their space unless you are invited, or are a Friend. Be respectful of other Members’ spaces. Do not post unsolicited business or personal messages. Unsolicited business or personal messages are considered Spam and will be dealt with as Spam.
7. Friends
You have the opportunity to make friends on this Site. Do so with discrimination. Once you accept an invitation, and become their Friend, you each have the right to send each other private messages and post to each other’s wall as you see fit. We do not monitor what goes on between Friends. Govern yourself accordingly.
8. Groups
Though we have not been able to see the value of Groups, when and if we do, and Groups are set up, you have the option of joining as many as you’d like. Being inside a Group does not change the basic rules of the Site. Presently, only Admins can start a new group. If you feel there is a group that needs to be started, contact us at crepigadvisors@gmail.com.
9. Forums
The Forums are meant for discussions, but are often used for promotions. We hope to have a promotions area established soon, but in the interim, please follow these rules. The Forums are categorized. This is more for searching and viewing than for posting. Please post to the appropriate category of course, and as noted, no cross posting. And stay on topic. This is not where you pop in and place your advertising. Especially "canned" responses. That's spam. There are ample places and discussions where your services are applicable, but not all places, and not in a discussion that has no connection to your services. Use good judgment please.
10. Blogs
Blogs are a good area for exposing your business or service. Note that the Blog shows up on and stays on your MyPage, so it is in essence a part of your promotion of yourself, your company or services.
11. Changes and Updates to This Site’s Rules
We may occasionally update the CREPIG RULES. If we do, we will update the "effective date" at the top of the RULES & GUIDELINES. If an update is materially more or less restrictive, we will provide you with prior notice of the pending update by posting on the Site. We encourage you to periodically review these RULES & GUIDELINES. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your agreement to these RULES & GUIDELINES and any updates thereto.
