Kelley McLaren

Managing Director of Receiver Services

Kelley McLaren is Trigild’s Managing Director of Receivership Services.  She has been appointed receiver or assisted in over 100 receivership appointments since she joined Trigild in September of 2006.  Ms. McLaren is responsible for overseeing the receiver services department which prepares the receiver's court documents, maintains relationships between attorneys and key contacts for the project, and monitors cases from start to finish. 

Ms. McLaren is the Vice President of the San Diego Chapter of the California Receiver’s Forum, as well as being a member at large and chairs the educational committee.  Ms. McLaren is also the co-editor of the Trigild Deskbook – A State by State Guide to Foreclosure and Receiverships.

Ms. McLaren has spoken at multiple industry conferences including:

  • The 2010 Annual Trigild Lender Conference
  • San Diego Bankruptcy Forum
  • San Diego Receiver Forum - Sales Through Receivership
  • Loyola IV Receivership Law & Practice Symposium (2011)

Ms. McLaren holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University as well as a paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego, a certificate of completion for a comprehensive 16-hour course on receivership administration and procedures presented at Loyola Law School in 2009 and a certificate of completion for a comprehensive 20-hour course on receivership administration and procedures also presented at Loyola Law School in 2011

Fernando Landa

General Counsel

As general counsel, Fernando Landa provides key legal and strategic expertise to company management. In this capacity, he develops and negotiates real estate and commercial contracts, represents the Trigild in judicial proceedings, serves as receiver and provides guidance on a wide variety of corporate and real estate issues. 

With considerable real estate and legal experience, Landa was previously an associate with Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP, a leading San Diego real estate law firm, where he was involved in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of residential and commercial real estate assets.

He also possesses significant litigation experience, including alternative dispute resolution and trial work. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Landa was an associate at the London Group Realty Advisors, providing strategic consulting and financial analysis services for real estate developments and investments throughout the United States and Mexico, and was also a public policy analyst at the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. 

The recent recipient of the 2010 Associate of the Year Award by the San Diego Building Industry Association, Mr. Landa is involved with numerous professional and civic organizations, among them the San Diego Building Industry Association, USD, the Urban Land Institute and the San Diego County Bar Association.  A Leadership in Energy Efficient Design Accredited Professional (“LEED AP”), he is also fluent in Spanish.

He holds bachelor of arts degrees in history and political science from the University of Pennsylvania, a master of science degree in real estate from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor, with concentrations in real estate and corporate law, from USD School of Law.
