"Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure." — Napoleon Hill: Author, Think and Grow Rich.
One of my mentors, Harv Eker, author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, says the the biggest reason for failure is that people go balls out 90% and give up before they cross the finish line to attain success. Many times this is because some major setback or failure takes the wind out their sails and they they are not bullet proof, they never recover.
I have seen this and done this too many times. I now believe that slow and steady wins the race and that if you know who you are (Hint: you are not your bank statement, status or possessions), and what you want to accomplish. If you have asked your customer what they want or what their problem is so you can deliver or solve, and you put a little passion behind it all, then you have a great chance become bullet proof and to cross the finish line.
Why do I say all this. There are some that do not know when to hold them or fold them. Another words, there may be some out there in pursuit of never-land. This is a tough one because it is very hard to know when to quit and
many have put themselves and their families at risk for their dreams
If you have ever watched American Idol and seen the singers that want to do nothing but pursue their dream to be superstar singers. The problem is that they absolutely cannot sing. They get upset with the judges and flip them off as they vow to become stars and at some time in the future, shove this in the judges face. "I will show them!!" they scream out...
We all see them and hear them and we know the judges are right, but we feel so bad for the contestant because we know that they are headed for a world of hurt and misery in pursuit of this unattainable dream.
All I can say to this is that you can not win the lottery without buying a ticket, no risk; no reward. My secret hope is that one of them does become a superstar as it tends
to keep the judges humble and keeps the rest of our dreams alive.
So if you are passionate and you don't put others in harms way for your selfish gain, then go for it... and go for it HARD and never, ever, ever, ever, give up.JW Najarianwww.CREPIG.comwww.CREDAA.comwww.NetworkingFools.com
