On Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:00 P.M., CoreNet NJ will provide a unique opportunity for New Jersey’s real estate leadership to enter into direct communication with the Governor’s Real Estate Advisory Board. A joint meeting of CoreNet Global New Jersey and the Economic Development Association of New Jersey, held at the Eisenhower Corporate Campus, 290 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ, will allow brokerage, developer, and owner representatives open dialogue with people who have a direct line to Governor Corzine.
The Real Estate Advisory Board was created in December by the Governor to support the initiatives of his economic assistance and recovery plan, a multi-faceted approach helping coax the state out of the current national recession. Board members meet regularly and work with the Governor’s Office of Economic Growth and other state departments to encourage economic development and revitalization across the state, enhancing the state’s appeal to investors and businesses.
On hand will be a representative from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. Additional participants include: Jerry Zaro, the Chief of the New Jersey Office of Economic Growth; Joseph Taylor, CEO of Matrix Development and chair of the Real Estate Advisory Board; and Steve Pozycki, CEO of SJP Properties, who chairs the marketing subcommittee for the Real Estate Advisory Board.
This is an opportunity to voice concerns directly to those who are in position to influence decisions on all aspects of real estate development, economic development, and regulatory issues at the state level. I cannot stress enough the uniqueness of this opportunity. This is our chance to educate the people who have the Governor’s ear about the condition of our industry.
CoreNet Global NJ President Tim Bender strongly urges you to attend with key members of your firm. He also asks that you spread the word throughout the entire the real estate and brokerage communities. Feel free to forward this note to all those who you feel will benefit from this critically important forum.
Cost for the meeting is $25 per person. Light refreshments will be served. To register, please go to www.corenetnj.org or call Marie Kennedy at 973-495-9522. You may also reach her by email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
